1. COMMUNITY HEALTH AND NUTRITION & IT
A course in Community Health and Nutrition aims at producing a health worker who is capable of addressing health issues on a bottom up approach i.e. from community to global perspective and critically analyze the related health problems with a view of proposing possible solutions. The need to develop manpower in these disciplines has been necessitated by the fast increasing health problem resulting from ongoing processes like urbanization and Nutrition which is coupled by the era of emerging and re-emerging infectious. For the country to cope with this, community health practitioners who will be able to tackle the issues from grassroots are needed.
Our curriculum has been prepared in accordance to the World Health Organization target for ensuring cheap, affordable quality and easily accessible health services for all developing countries where a high percentage of population live below the poverty line i.e. they earn less than one dollar per day and thus the need for the motto “prevention is better than cure.”

2. CLINICAL COUNSELLING PSYCHOLOGY & IT
The aim of the Clinical Counselling Psychology programme is to provide a comprehensive education in psychological knowledge and skills. Special emphasis is to be given to a general, basic psychological foundation, which will enable students to deal with the demands of the area of specialization. 3. HEALTH RECORDS & IT
The objective of Health Records and Information Technology training is to provide a strong foundation for Information professionals competent in health records management and health research. Health Records technicians organize and manage health information data by ensuring its quality, accuracy, accessibility and security in both paper and electronic systems. By use of technology they classify, code and categorize patient information for databases and registries and maintain patients’ medical and treatment histories. Accurate treatment histories enable the doctors to diagnose and prescribe the correct medication that will restore the client to their normal productive lives. Goshen Medical College offers training in the field of Health Records & Information Technology for both diploma and certificate programs with future prospects of Bachelor of Science in Health Records & Information Technology.

4. PATIENT ATTENDANT
Patient attendants are caregivers who take care of a patient unable to care for themselves. The job of a patient attendant involves caring for the elderly, the disabled or the chronically sick. Patient attendants are trained caregivers and are also certified and undergo on job training to boost their skills and knowledge of the job. Patient attendants work in nursing homes, home care, assisted living, Hospice, hospitals, community based long-term care, correctional institutions, and other long-term care settings. Nursing assistants help patients of all ages perform the most basic daily tasks. They work under a licensed nurse supervision, and since they have extensive daily contact with each patient, they play a key role in the lives of their patients and in keeping the nurse up to date on vital information about the patient conditions.

The trainee will be able to participate in the management of community health and HIV/AIDS projects, Appreciate the role of community organization in community health and HIV/AIDS management, Promote ethical practices and integrate gender in the community development, Appreciate the role of communication in the community, Appreciate the importance of self-entrepreneurial skills in national development.
